Events

There are hundreds of events happening across the UK as part of Marriage Week 2012. Three headline national events are taking place in central London, whilst hundreds of marriage champions will be putting on smaller local events where they live.

Local organisers tailor their event according to the needs in their community. Perhaps an event will focus on supporting engaged couples think about the journey of marriage ahead of them. Or maybe an event will serve more mature couples by offering a ‘relationship MOT’ or a chance to renew their vows.

All Marriage Week events should share three key components:

-          The events are good fun!

-          The events honour and encourage married or engaged couples.

-          The events contain some skills-based content.

From Valentine suppers with after dinner speakers to communication workshops within a pub quiz, it is fantastic to see healthy marriages being encouraged in such creative ways.
